Marie Curie

I have to be honest and I don't know a lot about my career related to experts, famous or imporant people, so it was very hard to search just one character for this blog, but here it is... So today I'm going to talk about a very important woman for the science history, Marie Curie.
Marie Curie was born in 1867 in Warsaw, Poland, she was a very important chemist and physicist, because she was the first person and the only woman to win a Nobel in two scientific fields.
Her work was about the "theory of radioactivity", also she discovered two new elements: radium (Ra) and polonium (Po).
She had a very interesting live, during the first world war she developed mobil radiography units, the "petites Curies", little centers near the front lines to assists the surgeons to operate the wounded soldiers as soon as possible.
Finally she died on July in 1934 from aplastic anaemia, it is said that was caused for her long term exposure to radiation.
